• Question: how is a seed made?

      Hi, that’s a good question again. I did zoology for my A-level. Seeds are the result of sexual reproduction but apparently plants can have sex with themselves.

      Strange things happen in seeds too. So we have to sets of each gene (one from each parent) but plants can have loads, I think wheat has something like 8 sets or more – it’s really complicated when you get to plant genetics!
