      Microbes are spread mainly by the ways by which humans interact with each other – sex, kissing and what is called droplet spread – whereby you touch a contaminated surface and then touch your eyes, nose or mouth.The other ways are by biting animals – mosquitoes – malaria, dengue fever etc, biting flies, dogs etc. With advances in testing, transfusion transmitted infections – eg HIV are a thing of the past at least in richer countries
