Ah great question, I think that it’s so that sweat doesn’t drip down into our eyes.

A really interesting question is why we are relatively hairless compared to apes! Have a little google to see all of the theories, some are that we lived in the water (a bit ridiculous I think) or maybe that having hair was just a waste once we made basic clothes and had fire.

Eyebrows are there to stop sweat and other moisture (like rain!) going into your eyes!

They are also really important for facial expressions and you can usually tell a lot about someone’s mood from what they are doing with their eyebrows!

Plus, if we didn’t have them we would look weird!

Eye brows are the windscreen wipers of our face- they stop all the dust and dirt and sweat from getting in our eyes and because of their shape, the sweat runns down the side of our temples
