Oh this is a great question! I think I would still do something in tissue-engineering but maybe work on nerve tissue or heart tissue- something that has a bigger risk, but that have a much greater impact if it was to work.

I’d also think about engineering an artificial uterus to help women who can’t have children – I’d love to do that!

With unlimited funds I’d work on so many things, that would be my dream!! 🙂

Unlimited funds? I’d probably go into full time research into the genetics of bees!

It’s an area that is really important but hasn’t been looked at very much at all. The main thing about bees is that they pollinate most of our food so are incredibly important in the whole of mankind living on!

hmmmm thats a good question. I am very lucky at the moment as I work in a lab who has lots of money so if we want to try an experiment that costs a lot of money we can. And because diabetes is a really big problem that is only going to get worse, I think that I would continue with my current project. When I did my PhD I wasn’t in such a rich lab and there were so many experiments I wanted to do but wasn’t able to! I do appreciate it now!
