That’s evolution by natural selection for you – if you are referring to bacteria and viruses and some cancers that is. Certain bacterial infections are getting very difficult to treat – sometimes we have only one, old antibiotic to use because of the over-prescription of these drugs over the last 2-3 decades. Viruses are a little different, but in some (HIV, influenza), it is very easy to select drug resistant strains. Luckily, most virus infections do not need treating (because our immune system is so effective) or we can vaccinate against them (because our immune system is so good). Natural selection RULES!
