Question: there is a rumor that a massive hornet is coming to the UK and might wipe out the species of bumble and honey bees! is this true? is so what can we do to prevent this happening? would the sting be deadly??????

  I don’t think that’s going to happen here, but France has had some nasty invading insects. Thankfully we have the channel tunnel and screen things coming into the country to try to make sure that they don’t spread here.
  
  The sting would hurt a lot but wouldn’t kill us. I guess if it did happen we’d try to control it and wipe them out specifically by targetting this, but we’ve learned from european wasps in Australia that stopping them getting in is much easier than trying to deal with it once they’ve arrived.
