Many fly killers are electric so when a fly flies into the trap, a small electric current is passed through to quickly stun and kill it. Some others contain insecticides which contain a poison that will kill it

Most insecticides work against either processes that make insect energy work, but most of them work on their nerves. They essentially make them have some sort of fit and they can’t control themselves, like nerve gas in horrible wars
