• Question: what makes a computer work?

      Computers are amazing. I mean seriously so complex that I don’t get how they can do so much. The basic premise of them is that you can have information in what they call a binary form. This means that all data is stored as a string of either on (1) or off(0). This basic idea is what forms the basis of all computers.

      Interestingly we owe the number 0 to arabic mathematicians, without accepting the number 0 as an actual thing, we’d have no computers at all!
